a multimedia storytelling project from medill school of journalism

Our First Loves is a multimedia storytelling project produced by students at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. We ask people to share their stories of first love — love in its broadest sense. A person, a sport, a food, an idea. Whatever it was that first made your heart beat a little faster.

Our goal is to collect and preserve these stories, and to explore what they reveal about who we are and where we come from. Love, after all, is the thing that shapes us most.

Stories are collected through audio interviews, video recordings, and written narratives. We welcome submissions from anyone who has a story to tell.
